Is your firewall blocking Google Drive?

Many of us have faced issues of corporate firewall blocking drive.google.com, dropbox etc. My company suddenly decided that accessing google drive was prohibited. 

However, I have found that you can access your files by installing google drive to your PC.

First, you must find the installation files. Try searching for google tools and find a download link for google drive. Although this seems like a straightforward step, you will find that if your company blocks google drive, they sometimes have blocked the download sites as well. If the link is blocked, you may need to download the files outside of your firewall and then install them on your PC. You must have admin access to install programs on your PC to use this workaround.

1. Open googledrivesync.exe to automatically install and start Google Drive on your PC. (You may receive a warning that Google Drive is an application downloaded from the Internet. Click the Open button.)
2. Enter your Google Account username and password in the window that opens. This will be the account associated with Google Drive for your PC.
3. Complete the installation package instructions.
4. Launch Google Drive for your PC from the Start menu. Drag files and folders into your Google Drive folder to begin syncing items to My Drive (part of Google Drive on the web).
