Introducing Applets with IFTTT

If This Then That, also known as IFTTT, is a free web-based service to create chains of simple conditional statements, called applets. An applet is triggered by changes that occur within other web services such as Gmail, Facebook, Telegram, Instagram, or Pinterest.

IFTTT is a free platform that helps you do more with all your apps and devices. Applets are connections you can turn on between different apps & devices.

Really cool for web developers and anyone tech savvy enough to want more control over their software. In addition to the web-based application, the service runs on iOS and Android.

The setup is very intuitive. Here are some of the options presented to me once I chose android and Gmail applets.
