Can I trust you?

Online Scam sites are living their best life. I’m normally pretty good about identifying and avoiding these companies. However, my husband was tricked recently and received an uneven child sized monstrosity from China. He chalked it up to a lesson learned. Recently, as I’ve been researching ethical computing and online scammers, I’m finding my tolerance for these type of scammers is dwindling. I’m offended by these scammers infiltrating our markets and targeting Americans. All of the major players have allowed their platforms to be inundated with these bogus scam companies and innocent, unsuspecting people are the victims.  Google   AdSense sells these bogus companies ad space so that they infiltrate all of your social media apps with targeted ads, while Amazon allows these illegitimate scammers to setup storefronts with fake reviews to further scam consumers.  These scammers reinvent themselves with new domain names and store fronts, and rinse and repeat their scams to...

Apart from our everyday operations for the agency, LaDOTD and the Louisiana Office of Technology Services (OTS) partnered with Access Sciences to help facilitate LaDOTD’s move from IBM Content Manager 8.5 to IBM FileNet. Shermaine Haymer headed this feat as project manager, coordinating between all three parties to stay on track for a successful rollout. LaDOTD’s new content management system went live December 2021, making the agency’s move to IBM FileNet official and revealing a new array of benefits. As with any project,...

My Azure Dashboard

♦ A  DevOps world! It's been said that Companies that incorporate DevOps practices get more done. With some practical insight and many years of working without DevOps, I can agree. It's not the work that changes but the impact of your work package that changes. Who sees your progress, how to measure progress and how to determine emerging trends in your product. These are all of the benefits I've personally experienced. Here's an overview for anyone who's just getting started.   Azure Dashboard custom status view: Key Benefits:   Traditionally, Dev and Ops never could see eye to eye. So, if you take a practical view, DevOps addresses the difficulties in bringing together people, process and technologies under one umbrella.  DevOps can help your organization accelerate application delivery and save time with automation and standardization. It facilitates a High Speed SDLC. Faster Deployment. Speed Innovation. It helps us accelerate the feature deploym...

For example, a Netgear router, allows you to restrict access to adult content simply by a toggle option.  ATT Smart Home Manager comes with parental controls on select Wi-Fi® gateways.  Great Article.  Source By Laura Easterbrook, Child Protection and Forensic Medical Service As parents, we generally do everything we can to keep our children safe and well, from getting them to ‘slip, slop, slap’ before going out in the sun, to being careful when crossing a road and always wearing a helmet when cycling. But what are you doing to protect them from bullies, predators and inappropriate content online? Baton Rouge has an awesome tech community!!  My session was on Ethical Computing. Great audience! I also learned a few things about gaming and received advice on the best VPN software. Hint ** Not an American company. I was really surprised to get that bit of info.  PRIVACY MATTERS #SQLSatBR #SQLSatBR2019 A short video from Saturday's STEM kids track at #SQLSatBR made by the awesome volunteers who ran it!
