An applet is triggered by changes that occur within other web services such as Gmail, Facebook, Telegram, Instagram, or Pinterest. IFTTT is a free platform that helps you do more with all your apps and devices. Applets are connections you can turn on between different apps & devices. Really cool for web developers and anyone tech savvy enough to want more control over their software. In addition to the web-based application, the service runs on iOS and Android. The setup is very intuitive. Here are some of the options presented to me once I chose android and Gmail applets. This is such an impressive platform.
